Upper River Wye 17-18th March 07

HFCC logo, click here to return to the homepage

The river Wye runs for quite some distance from mid Wales down to the Bristol channel.

There are lots of sections that can be run. This time we did the white water section that runs down to Rhayader, graded at III with some sections of IV. Not recommended as a beginners trip, though the more difficult sections can be portaged if necessary.

With heavy rain falling earlier in the week the levels were good. The bunkhouse was excellent and the sun made a welcome appearence for most of our paddling.

Below are a selection of pictures & videos highlighting the fun...!
